An Invitation Awaits You
Today marks a milestone in my life as I release my memoir, Do You Still Like Football. This book recounts my story of resilience, reinvention, and the pursuit of a life lived enthusiastically and with no regret.
I share my experiences navigating a life filled with unexpected turns—from balancing life as a single parent and triathlete to designing a sustainable property and learning how to graze cattle with no experience. It has been anything but ordinary. Each chapter reveals how I pushed past limitations and embraced challenges, all while maintaining a successful career in the pharmaceutical and fashion industries.
The transition was deeply personal and a complex journey, and this memoir invites readers to reconsider their assumptions about gender and identity. Through my honest and vulnerable story, I allow you into my internal process and the decisions I made to live a life of my choosing.
At its heart, Do You Still Like Football is about the redeeming power of love and acceptance. My wife, Summer, has been my foundation throughout it all. I want our story to resonate with readers and serve as a reminder that love and connection can transform even the most challenging moments.
I hope this memoir inspires readers to reflect on their own journeys—journeys that can include reinvention and growth. Whether you’re facing significant life changes or simply seeking to live with greater confidence and grace, I invite you to read my story with an open mind and an open heart.
On the cover of my memoir, I sit with my arms—tattoos and all—on full display. Roses wrap around my right forearm, ending with a lion standing over a globe, at it’s base - John 18:37: “I am the truth.” This represents a facet of my journey—a search for answers and transformation.
In response to Jesus’ statement, Pilate asked the question, “What is truth?” and then walked away, not waiting for the answer. How often do we avoid the answers that might change everything? This memoir invites you to pause, reflect, and consider the transformative power of those answers.
